Surface Mount DC DC Converters
CALEX announces the SMT Series 1 and 3 watt single
and dual output DC DC converter families. The 1 watt single output SMT Series
offers 5VDC and 12VDC nominal inputs with 5, 9, 12 and 15VDC outputs. The
1 watt dual output SMT Series offers 5VDC and 12VDC nominal inputs with ±5,
±9, ±12 and ±15VDC outputs. The input range for both
the SMT 1 watt singles and duals is ±10%.
The 1 watt SMT single and dual output converters are all isolated input to
output. The isolation voltage is 1000VDC. Efficiencies run as high as 82%
for the singles and 80% for the duals. The switching frequency is typically
100kHz. Line regulation is typically ±1.2% and output noise is typically
60mV peak to peak. Load regulation varies by model but is as low as 5% max
for the 15VDC single and dual output models. The operating temperature range
is –25°C to +85°C ambient. The package size for the 1 watt singles
and duals is 0.31” x 0.6” x 0.27”H.
The 3 watt single and dual output SMT models are housed in a 0.58” x
1.27” x 0.4”H package. The 3 watt SMT Series offers nominal inputs
of 12, 24 and 48VDC. The input range is 9 to 18, 18 to 36 and 36 to 75 respectively.
Single output options include 3.3, 5, 12 and 15VDC. Dual output options are
±5, ±12 and ±15VDC. Isolation voltage for the 3 watt
SMT singles and duals is 1500VDC. Efficiencies run as high as 83% for the
single output models and 82% for the dual output models.
