15 Watt 1" x 2" DC DC Features Wide Input Range
Calex Mfg. Co., Inc. of Concord California announces the “BR” Series
wide input range DC DC converters. The BR Series offers 15 Watts of output
power in an industry standard 1" x 2" package with two input ranges,
9 to 36VDC and 18 to 72VDC. Output voltages range from 1.8VDC to 15VDC. All
models are isolated input to output.
The input range of the BR allows the system designer to utilize a single converter
solution to cover a variety of power sources, such as 12V battery and 24VDC.
The BR provides a tightly regulated output over the entire input voltage range.
Line regulation is 0.02%. Load regulation is 0.1%. Output noise is typically
1% of Vout. The switching frequency of the BR Series is 400kHz.
The operating temperature range of the BR is -40 to 100°C case. The unit
is encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound in a shielded
copper case for improved thermal performance in still air environments. The
Thermal Impedance of the BR is 15°C/W. MTBF is > 1M hours. The BR Series
is UL approved.
