Low Profile 3W DC DC Converter
Calex Mfg. Co., Inc. of Concord California announces the LCS Series of DC
DC Converters. Designed for applications with limited headroom, the LCS height
is only 0.28" - over a tenth an inch lower than most competitive products.
Total package dimensions are 1.25"L x 0.80"W x 0.28"H.
The LCS Series offers a wide 2:1 input range; 9 to 18V, 18 to 36V, or 36 to
72VDC. Output options are 3.3V, 5V, 12V and 15V. The LCS is fully isolated
input to output. The isolation voltage is 1544VDC. The switching frequency
of the LCS is 300kHz. Efficiencies range from 72 to 78%. Line and load regulation
is 0.2% and 0.5% respectively. Output noise for the 3.3V model is 50mV peak
to peak and 75mV peak to peak for the 5, 12 and 15V output models. Short circuit
protection is provided.
The operating temperature range of the LCS Series is -40 to +105°C case.
The ambient operating range is -40 to +85°C making the LCS ideal for high
temp applications with limited space/airflow. The LCS is also backed by Calex’s
Five Year Warranty.
