HD Dual Converter Pairs Low Voltages for FPGA, DSP Applications
Calex Manufacturing (Concord, CA) is pleased to announce the addition of the
HD Dual series to its broad offering of DC DC conversion solutions. Seven
different combinations of 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V are available as
output voltages, enabling a designer to supply both core and I/O processor
voltages with one converter. Regardless of the output voltage pair selected,
each voltage is independently regulated and can be individually trimmed to
±10%.
Fully isolated to 1500VDC, the HD Dual series supports input voltage ranges
of 18-36V and 36-75V. Each output is rated for up to 10A of output current,
with a combined maximum power level of 75W, and both outputs can be operated
down to no load current without damage to the part. Pulse by pulse current
limiting and short circuit protection are included as standard options, as
are over-voltage under-voltage and reverse polarity protection.
These converters are packaged in a 2.28 x 2.4 encapsulated case
with an aluminum baseplate for excellent thermal performance. The operating
temperature range for the HD series is -40°C to +100°C at the baseplate.
MTBF is greater than 1,000,000 hours per Bellcore method 1, case 1. Positive
and Negative On/Off logic are available, and the part offers a low idle current
of just 2mA. On power up, the turn on overshoot is 0%.
Just like every product from Calex, these converters are backed with a 5 year
warranty. Pricing on the HD Dual is well under $100 for 1000 piece quantities. Production quantities are available with a lead
time of 4-6 weeks. Contact the factory at sales@calex.com or
