J and K Type Thermocouple to Frequency Signal Conditioner (Model 8511 and 8512)

Calex Mfg. Co., Inc. of Concord, California announces the availability of the Calex Model 8511 and 8512. These signal conditioners provide a low cost solution ideal for applications where single point, isolated thermocouple signal conditioning is required. The 8511 and 8512 are designed to operate into a common 24 volt, 7mA PLC high-speed counter input. They are well suited for applications such as remote temperature monitoring.

The 8511 is designed for use with a Type J Thermocouple over a temperature range of 0°C to 500°C. The 8512 is designed for use with a Type K Thermocouple over a temperature range of 0°C to 500°C. Both signal conditioners utilize linearization and cold junction compensation. The output frequency is 100Hz at 0°C to 5100Hz at +500°C providing 12 bit resolution. The output optocoupler provides DC isolation from the input and the 24 VDC power. The 8511 and 8512 are housed in a plastic case with a built in DIN Rail mounting foot. The case dimensions are 3.78"L x 1.06"W x 1.65" H. All connections are made to easily accessible screw terminals. The 8511 and 8512 are backed by Calex‘s five-year warranty and are UL 508 and UL 1604 compliant.

Pricing for the 8511 and 8512 models is $100.10/ea (100). Units are available from stock to 6 weeks. For more information, contact Calex Mfg.
